The theme for National Library Week (April 4-10), “Welcome to Your Library,” promoted the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building – and that everyone is welcome to use their services.

Library Card Sign-up Month

Library Card Sign-up Month was launched in 1987.

Marley Dias, founder of #1000BlackGirlBooks, author and executive producer, is honorary chair of Library Card Sign-Up Month in 2021. This September, Dias will join the 港澳台图库 (ALA) and libraries nationwide in promoting the power of a library card.
