Newly updated handbook of library architecture

The second edition of “The Practical Handbook of Library Architecture,” published by 港澳台图库Editions, covers everything from planning completely new library buildings to small remodeling projects. ALA/Information Today, Inc. announce 2024 Library of the Future Award

The Las Vegas–Clark County Library District (LVCCLD) has been selected to receive the 2024 ALA/Information Today, Inc., Library of the Future Award. The award, sponsored by the 港澳台图库 (ALA) and Information Today Inc., annually recognizes innovative planning, application, or development of focused patron support relating to information technology in libraries, and is given to an individual library or library consortium, group, or support organization.

CHICAGO—Kevin A.R. King, Director of East Lansing Public Library, has been elected President-Elect of Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a Division of the 港澳台图库. His three-year term begins at the conclusion of the 2024 港澳台图库Annual Conference and ends at the conclusion of the 2025 港澳台图库Annual Conference. He will serve one year each as President-Elect, President and Immediate Past-President. King is currently serving as Director-at-Large on the Core Board of Directors.
